Overview: Vodacom Developer Zone

The Vodacom Developer Zone interface provides an integration layer between your existing systems, services or applications and the Developer Zone's Messaging Gateway. If, for instance, you have a Microsoft environment, you can integrate with our Com Object, with a few lines of code, using your current database functions. Multiple API's (HTTP, e-mail, XML, FTP, etc.), allows web developers to integrate their functions seamlessly.

Integrating with our gateway using the provided API's (Application Programming Interfaces), gives you the ability to set up alert-based SMS delivery from your server, deliver information to your mobile sales staff and keep in contact with your customers. It also offers carrier-grade feature sets, such as FlashSMS, 8-bit messaging and callback status reporting, enabling you to "plug-in" any existing application you may have. It further enables you to deliver Ringtones and Logos to handsets throughout the world, as well as Unicode - allowing messaging in any language and character set.
